Founded by Paul Montoya and Joe Ray Sandoval in 2001, Chicanobuilt wanted to create a vehicle to inspire, celebrate and reclaim our modern chicano culture through art, music, fashion and poetry.

Chicanobuilt has become well known in Santa Fe hip hop entertainment venues, the spoken word community and as a collaborator in many nonprofit efforts.

Chicanobuilt is setting its sights to enter the national mainstream as a promoter of chicano culture, with its original focus unchanged:
